Cairo: Egypt reaffirmed on Saturday, July 25, 2026, its full solidarity with the sisterly country of Saudi Arabia. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates, Egypt expressed its categorical rejection and condemnation of the attack on the Saudi oil tanker, as well as all attacks targeting civilian facilities and means of transportation or threatening security and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and international waterways.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Egypt also reiterated the paramount importance of respecting, ensuring, and protecting freedom of international navigation in all straits and international waterways in the region, in a manner that guarantees the smooth flow of international trade and global supply chains, in accordance with the provisions of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
