Baghdad:Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty, reaffirmed the country's support for efforts to restore security and stability in Yemen. He emphasized the importance of advancing a political and diplomatic settlement that aligns with the aspirations of the Yemeni people and safeguards the nation's resources.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty made these remarks during a meeting with Yemeni Foreign Minister and Expatriates Affairs Minister Afrah Al-Zouba, held in Baghdad on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation meetings. The discussions focused on Egypt's steadfast support for Yemen's unity and sovereignty.

The two ministers also addressed recent regional developments, with Abdelatty condemning attacks on Saudi Arabia and expressing Egypt's full solidarity with the kingdom. He stressed that the security of Saudi Arabia is integral to Egypt's national security.

Additionally, the talks covered security issues in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Both ministers highlighted the necessity of protecting freedom of navigation through international waterways, reducing tensions, and preventing the conflict from spreading, thereby supporting regional security and stability.
