Egypt supports the development rights of its African neighbors while upholding its water rights and expanding development partnerships across the continent.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Egypt rejects unilateral actions in the Eastern Nile Basin that violate international law, advocating for co-operation and the principle of 'no harm' to protect the rights and interests of all riparian states. Major initiatives, such as the Julius Nyerere Dam in Tanzania, exemplify successful Egyptian-African co-operation, showcasing the positive outcomes of collaborative large-scale projects.

Egypt has implemented numerous projects, including solar-powered groundwater pumping stations and wells in countries like South Sudan, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan, Uganda, and Tanzania, alongside river ports and ground reservoirs. The country also focuses on forecasting and technical studies to ensure optimal water management and has trained over 1,650 individuals from 52 African nations.

These efforts, supported by over $120 million in funding, are part of a broader strategy to foster mutual benefit and co-operation. Additionally, the recently launched Nile Development Fund, with an initial capital of $100 million, aims to finance infrastructure projects in the Southern Nile Basin.
