New Alamein:Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a meeting to review preparations for hosting three significant African events in New Alamein from October 2 to 4, 2026.According to State Information Service Egypt, the events include the El Alamein Africa Forum, the summit of the founding states of the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), and the 8th African Union Mid-Year Coordination Meeting. The meeting focused on assessing the status of both organizational and substantive preparations, covering meeting and session programs, logistical, protocol, and media arrangements.Abdelatty emphasized the need for continued intensive coordination among the ministry's sectors and relevant authorities to ensure the events reflect Egypt's status and commitment to joint African initiatives. He highlighted the importance of leveraging these events to enhance African coordination, support economic integration, mobilize resources, and establish partn erships to achieve continental development priorities.The minister also stressed the importance of closely monitoring the final stage of preparations to ensure successful execution, underscoring Egypt's active role in promoting African development and integration.
