Cairo: Assistant Foreign Minister for International Cooperation Mokhtar Wiraida praised the key role played by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in strengthening economic and development cooperation between Egypt and Japan. During a meeting with Tanaka Kotaro, JICA's director general for the Middle East and Europe, Wiraida highlighted the depth of Egyptian-Japanese relations and their continued growth.According to State Information Service Egypt, the two sides reviewed major joint projects, including the first phase of Cairo Metro Line 4, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Egyptian-Japanese schools, and the Cairo Opera House, as well as future projects under negotiation. They also discussed preparations for an upcoming high-level consultative meeting with Japan to address the two countries' development priorities.
