Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed efforts to advance a Gaza ceasefire and post-war governance arrangements during talks on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, with Nickolay Mladenov, the High Representative for Gaza, according to Egypt's Foreign Ministry.According to State Information Service Egypt, during the meeting, Abdelatty called for the completion of the remaining elements of the first phase of the US-backed Gaza plan. This includes the deployment of a National Committee for Gaza Administration (NCAG) from within the territory, the establishment of an international stabilization force (ISF), and the delivery of humanitarian, medical, and relief assistance.He emphasized that these measures were necessary to strengthen the ceasefire, improve security conditions, and pave the way for early recovery and reconstruction efforts in the Palestinian enclave.The meeting comes as Egypt continues consultations with regional and international stakeholders on efforts to stabilize Gaza and address the humanitarian situation in the territory.
