Al-arish: The celebration of the 13th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution held in the city of Al-Arish was not merely a national occasion commemorating a defining moment in modern Egyptian history. According to State Information Service Egypt, the event, organized by the North Sinai Governorate in cooperation with the State Information Service (SIS), was attended by Major General Dr. Khaled Megawer, Governor of North Sinai, Ambassador Alaa Youssef, Chairman of the Board of the State Information Service, as well as a number of executive officials and community figures. The speeches delivered during the celebration reflected a strong sense of national pride and appreciation for the achievements accomplished since the June 30 Revolution. The celebration marked the first in a series of events organized by the State Information Service in governorates across the country to commemorate the revolution's 13th anniversary.
It forms part of a comprehensive programme of seminars, public dialogues, and awareness activities conducted by the SIS information centers nationwide, aiming to strengthen public awareness and highlight the achievements made in Egypt's ongoing journey toward building the New Republic.
Youssef emphasized that commemorating the June 30 Revolution in North Sinai carries special significance, as the governorate stands as a living testament to the Egyptian state's ability to confront and overcome challenges. He noted that the state succeeded in consolidating security and stability alongside implementing unprecedented development projects-efforts that have directly impacted citizens' lives and opened new horizons for the future.
He said that what he witnessed during his visit to the governorate reflects the scale of the efforts made by the Egyptian state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to provide a better life for citizens. This has been achieved through major development and service projects that have upgraded infrastructure, improved service quality, and opened new horizons for sustainable development.
Ambassador Alaa Youssef also praised the exceptional organization of the celebration and its artistic performances, which reflected a spirit of belonging and national pride. He noted that such events help strengthen awareness and introduce younger generations to the depth of the sacrifices made by Egyptians to preserve their state and safeguard its stability.
One of the most moving moments of the celebration was the honoring of several North Sinai residents injured in terrorist attacks. Ambassador Alaa Youssef emphasized that this recognition carries deep human and national value, reflecting the state's appreciation for the sacrifices of its citizens, who provided inspiring examples of resilience in defense of the homeland.
He added that the sacrifices made by Egypt's heroes from the Armed Forces, Police, and civilian population were principal factors behind the country's success in defeating terrorism and consolidating security and stability. He noted that honoring them on the anniversary of the June 30 Revolution embodies the state's appreciation for those who contributed to protecting the nation and safeguarding its capabilities, while sending a message to younger generations on the importance of dedication to Egypt's progress and security.
The Chairman of the State Information Service concluded by affirming that the achievements in North Sinai represent a living example of the impact of the June 30 Revolution. He added that they reflect the state's success in turning challenges into opportunities for development and nation-building, strengthening confidence in a more secure, stable, and prosperous future under the New Republic.
