Egypt FM Engages in Strategic Dialogues with Iranian and Omani Counterparts

Oslo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty recently engaged in significant discussions with his counterparts from Oman and Iran, Badr Albusaidi and Abbas Araghchi, respectively. These talks occurred on the sidelines of the Oslo Forum.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty emphasized Egypt’s commitment to achieving regional calmness and preventing any escalation of conflicts. He reiterated Egypt’s stance that military solutions are not viable for resolving crises in the region.

During the discussions, Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s support for the ongoing negotiation process between the United States and Iran concerning the Iranian nuclear program. This support was communicated during his meetings with both his Iranian counterpart and the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Abdelatty also discussed the evaluations of the US-Iranian negotiations with the two ministers, praising the dedication of both American and Iranian parties to continue diplomatic dialogue. He highlighted Oman’s mediation efforts as crucial in this context and reiterated Egypt’s backing for diplomatic initiatives that aim to reach compromises, reduce regional tensions, and enhance regional security and stability.
