Egypt Expands ‘Ayadi Masr’ to Enhance Digital Marketing of Handicrafts

Cairo: Egypt's Minister of Social Solidarity and Chair of the Rural and Environmental Industries Support Fund, Maya Morsy, signed a cooperation protocol with Minister of Local Development, Manal Awad. This agreement aims to support the Ayadi Masr Initiative, which focuses on marketing heritage and handmade products as well as promoting economic empowerment.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the agreement outlines joint efforts between the two ministries to advance local economic development and empower vulnerable groups, including women and youth. It also emphasizes supporting economic clusters across Egypt's governorates.

The protocol further focuses on expanding the digital marketing of handicrafts through the Ayadi Masr online platform. This will be achieved by promoting digital transformation and the use of information and communication technologies.

This initiative includes increasing the use of mobile applications and providing wider internet access in both rural and urban areas. The goal is to ensure that rural communities benefit from digital inclusion.
