Cairo:Diplomatic missions and consulates of Egypt worldwide have started allowing elderly citizens over 70 and individuals with disabilities to access consular services without needing to book appointments online in advance.

According to State Information Service Egypt, this policy change enables eligible individuals to directly visit the Egyptian mission responsible for their residence and receive necessary services without prior scheduling.

This initiative is based on directives from Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, aimed at providing comprehensive support to Egyptians abroad, especially focusing on the elderly and people with disabilities. It also addresses requests from Egyptians living overseas, as communicated by Deputy Foreign Minister for Migration and Expatriates Nabil Habashi.
