Egypt: Egypt strongly condemned the attempted targeting of the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia using drones.

According to State Information Service Egypt, a statement issued on Monday, May 18, 2026, by the Foreign Ministry affirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its firm supportive stance in the face of any threats. The statement expressed support for all measures and actions taken by the Kingdom to protect its sovereignty and safeguard the security of its citizens and residents.

Egypt also emphasized its unwavering commitment to the security of the Gulf states, describing it as a fundamental pillar of Egyptian national security and the security and stability of the region. The statement warned that such blatant violations of international law further complicate the current regional situation and hinder de-escalation efforts.
