Egypt Calls for Stronger Cultural Cooperation with Islamic Countries

Kazan: Egypt's Minister of Culture, Gihane Zaki, emphasized the necessity of enhancing cultural cooperation between Egypt and Islamic countries during her recent visit to Kazan. Zaki participated in the 14th Conference of Culture Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, which was held under the theme 'Dialogue of Civilizations.'

According to State Information Service Egypt, Zaki also attended the opening ceremony of 'Kazan Capital of Islamic Culture 2026' and took part in the Russia-Islamic World Economic Forum. During her visit, she engaged in discussions with international officials focusing on collaboration in fields such as culture, arts, museums, cinema, literature, and youth activities.

Furthermore, Zaki met with Rustam Minnikhanov to explore avenues for cultural and tourism cooperation between Egypt, Tatarstan, and Russia. She expressed Egypt's commitment to fortifying cultural ties through initiatives such as joint workshops, artistic exchanges, and partnerships in literature and film.
