Cairo: Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk announced the launch of a second package of tax facilitation measures aimed at transforming Egypt's customer-service culture.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Kouchouk addressed a 'call center' team from the Egyptian Tax Authority, the Real Estate Tax Authority, and eNable, a subsidiary of the eFinance investment group. He urged the team to simplify access to tax and real estate tax incentives for individuals and businesses.

Kouchouk emphasized the need for simplicity in procedures and encouraged the team to collaborate with tax authorities to resolve issues using practical and flexible solutions. He highlighted the importance of treating investors and citizens with courtesy, stating that the primary goal is to serve them effectively.

The minister also encouraged the use of artificial intelligence to enhance tax and real estate tax services. He stressed the significance of analyzing customer inquiries regularly, integrating solutions into guidance manuals, and using these in tax awareness campaigns.

Development and improvement in the tax system are continuous, driven by the needs of customers, Kouchouk noted. He expressed the ministry's commitment to gaining taxpayers' trust and satisfaction through additional incentives and facilitation measures. He also conveyed confidence in young professionals and their dedication to advancing Egypt's tax system.
