Egypt and Palestine Discuss Regional Developments and Cooperation

Ramallah: Egyptian Ambassador to the State of Palestine, Ihab Suleiman, met with President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah. The meeting was attended by ambassadors from several Arab countries accredited to the State of Palestine.

According to State Information Service Egypt, President Abbas conveyed his greetings to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, expressing appreciation for Egypt's support for the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people. He also extended his gratitude to the leaders of Arab states for their support. The meeting focused on recent developments in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, highlighting the need for strengthened Arab coordination to support the Palestinian position and pursue a two-state solution for peace.

Ambassador Ehab Suleiman discussed the impact of regional escalation on the Palestinian territories, emphasizing Egypt's stance against targeting Arab states. He reiterated Cairo's commitment to diplomatic solutions and reducing tensions. Suleiman also underscored the importance of humanitarian aid to Gaza amid the worsening situation and condemned Israeli actions in the West Bank related to land confiscation and settlement expansion.
