Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty emphasized the significance of de-escalating tensions in Yemen and fostering an inclusive Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue aimed at achieving a comprehensive resolution to the crisis without unilateral actions. This was highlighted during a phone conversation with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, as part of ongoing consultations between the two nations.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussion underscored the importance of reducing escalation and supporting peaceful political solutions to enhance regional security and stability. Both ministers deliberated on strengthening the distinguished relations between Egypt and Oman, with Abdelatty praising the deep fraternal ties between the countries and advocating for enhanced bilateral cooperation in priority areas to benefit both nations.

The ministers also exchanged views on developments in the Gaza Strip. Abdelatty outlined Egypt's efforts to maintain the ceasefire, support the political process, and ensure unrestricted humanitarian aid access, aiming for early recovery and reconstruction. The conversation also touched on the Iranian nuclear issue, with Abdelatty stressing the need for ongoing efforts towards de-escalation, confidence-building, and diplomatic solutions to reach a comprehensive agreement that would contribute to regional security and stability.
