Cairo: Minister of Labour Hassan Raddad met with Ahmed Hadi, head of the Iraqi delegation participating in the 52nd Arab Labour Conference, currently being held in Cairo from September 13 to 20. The meeting focused on ways to enhance cooperation between Egypt and Iraq in vocational training and workforce preparation to meet labor market needs and improve workers' skills and efficiency. The two sides also discussed mechanisms for supporting and regulating labor mobility between the two countries within the framework of Arab cooperation that serves the interests of the three production parties.

According to State Information Service Egypt, both sides stressed the importance of exchanging expertise and experience in vocational training and workforce development, and strengthening coordination to help prepare skilled workers capable of meeting labor market needs while supporting employment and decent work opportunities. They said this was in line with the Arab Labour Organization's efforts to promote cooperation and integration among Arab countries on labor and employment issues.

The meeting was part of a series of bilateral meetings held by the minister with heads of Arab delegations participating in the 52nd session, hosted by Egypt with the participation of representatives of the three production parties from 21 Arab countries, to discuss issues of common interest and support joint Arab labor efforts.
