Cairo: Agriculture Minister Alaa Farouk engaged in discussions with French officials to explore the expansion of joint investments and cooperation in Egypt's agricultural sector. The discussions emphasized Cairo's commitment to removing obstacles for investors and fostering an environment conducive to projects focused on innovation and digital transformation.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Farouk's meeting with the French agricultural counselor and the head of the economic section at the French Embassy in Cairo focused on opportunities for collaboration in modern agricultural technologies, irrigation, agro-processing, and supply chains. The French officials expressed interest in enhancing agricultural trade with Egypt, particularly in areas such as fertilizer production and high-yield cattle breeds for meat and dairy.

Both parties agreed to maintain coordination through joint technical teams and to explore potential cooperation in potato seed production research and agricultural cooperatives.
