Cairo: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture Abdel Aziz Konsowa held talks with Chadian Minister of Tourism Development, Culture, and Handicrafts Abakar Rozzi Teguil on ways to strengthen cultural cooperation between Egypt and Chad. The discussions took place during Konsowa's official visit to Chad, where he participated in the fourth session of the Egyptian-Chadian Joint Committee.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting focused on prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in culture and handicrafts, including Chad's participation in Egyptian film festivals and the Cairo International Book Fair. The two sides explored enhancing partnerships through expertise exchange and implementing joint cultural programs targeting children and youth, aiming to deepen the fraternal relations between the two countries.

Konsowa emphasized that the cultural cooperation between Egypt and Chad reflects the depth of the longstanding ties between the nations, highlighting the ongoing development and coordination in relations under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Chadian President Mahamat Idriss D©by. He pointed out the importance of leveraging these strong relations to expand cooperation across cultural fields.

The discussions also considered establishing a national museum in Chad and utilizing Egypt's expertise in museum management and heritage preservation. Additionally, they addressed organizing cultural events to promote cultural exchange, strengthen people-to-people ties, and enhance cooperation.

Both parties agreed to maintain coordination between cultural institutions and develop practical mechanisms to implement cooperation areas, supporting Egyptian-Chadian relations and opening new avenues for cultural partnerships serving both countries' interests.
