Toledo: Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation with Bulgarian Minister of Tourism IIin Dimitrov. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 126th Session of the Executive Council of UN Tourism, currently being held in Toledo, Spain.According to State Information Service Egypt, the ministers reviewed mechanisms to stimulate tourist flows between the two countries. This includes enhanced air connectivity and encouraging airlines to increase the number of flights. Additionally, they discussed supporting professional meetings between tourism-sector representatives from both countries, organizing joint promotional roadshows, and implementing joint training programs to build the capacities of workers in the tourism and hospitality sectors. The exchange of expertise and exploration of opportunities for the joint promotion of tourist destinations were also key points of discussion.The meeting also addressed prospects for cooperation in the museum secto r, archaeological excavations and restoration, and benefiting from Egyptian expertise in these fields. Furthermore, partnerships with the private sector to provide tourism services at archaeological sites and museums were discussed, following successful models implemented at the Grand Egyptian Museum and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.During the meeting, Fathy highlighted the facilitation measures offered by the Egyptian government for travel procedures and tourist visas, which are designed to improve the visitor experience and increase tourist arrivals.
