Cairo: Civil Aviation Minister Sameh el-Hefny discussed enhancing air transport cooperation with Bulgaria's ambassador to Egypt, Deyan Angelov Katratchev. The two sides reviewed progress on a proposed air transport agreement to modernize the framework governing aviation ties in line with developments in the civil aviation sector, increase flight operations, facilitate travel, and support mutual interests, the ministry said.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Hefny stated that Egypt and Bulgaria enjoyed strong bilateral relations that continued to develop across several sectors, particularly civil aviation. He also praised the ambassador's efforts during his tenure in Egypt, contributing to strengthening bilateral ties and opening new avenues for cooperation.
The Bulgarian ambassador lauded the distinguished ties binding the two countries. He asserted Bulgaria's keenness on coordinating with Egypt to capitalize on opportunities for closer cooperation, adding that Egypt's civil aviation sector had witnessed notable development in recent years.
