Egypt and Bolivia Explore Enhanced Health Sector Cooperation

La paz: Egypt's Ambassador in La Paz, Hatem El-Nashar, engaged in discussions with Bolivia's Health Minister, Maria Renee Castro, to explore ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the health sector. The conversation centered on strengthening ties through proposed memoranda of understanding between the health ministries of both nations and between the Egyptian Drug Authority and Bolivia's drug agency.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting emphasized the exchange of information, capacity building, and regulation of medicines and medical supplies. Both parties highlighted the importance of continuing to build upon recent advancements in healthcare collaboration. This includes potential virtual or in-person training and exploring opportunities in pharmaceutical and vaccine production, as well as exports to Bolivia.

After the meeting, Ambassador El-Nashar hosted a dinner at the Egyptian House. The event was attended by several ambassadors, during which the Bolivian minister presented a list of medicines to facilitate future exports from Egypt, pending the signing of the memorandum of understanding.
