According to State Information Service Egypt, Fathy made these remarks during the World Travel and Tourism Council meetings held in Egypt. He highlighted that the ministry relies on data and performance indicators to guide tourism policies and development plans. A cooperation framework has been established with the private sector, allowing for broad participation in tourism projects and investment opportunities.
Fathy pointed out the resilience of the global tourism sector, stating that it can rapidly recover from crises. He emphasized the importance of restoring air travel and transportation to support tourism growth. Additionally, he discussed the impact of rising global prices on tourism movement in certain markets and underscored the need for consistent aviation fuel availability to maintain air traffic and tourist flows.
