Education Minister and Australian Ambassador Explore Technical Education Collaboration

Cairo: Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif discussed with Axel Wabenhorst, Australia's Ambassador to Egypt, ways to enhance joint cooperation in developing technical education. The Minister stressed utmost keenness to expand cooperation with countries that have leading educational experiences, in a way that supports Egypt's efforts to develop the education system in line with international best practices.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Minister said that Egypt is currently witnessing a comprehensive transformation in technical education aimed at graduating skilled workers whose abilities match labor market requirements. For his part, the Australian Ambassador praised the ongoing development efforts in Egypt's education system, affirming his country's interest in strengthening cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, particularly in technical education and the exchange of expertise.

He noted that skilled technical workers are in high demand in Australia and that cooperation with Egypt represents an important opportunity in this regard. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination in the coming period to translate the outcomes of the discussions into practical cooperation programs and projects that support technical education development and strengthen the strategic partnership between Egypt and Australia in the education sector.
