ECS in Beirut Promotes Lebanese Investments in Egypt

Beirut: As part of the Egyptian Commercial Service (ECS) efforts in Beirut to promote the investment climate in Egypt and attract Lebanese investors, as well as to follow up on the status of Lebanese investments in Egypt, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, ECS office organized an event to promote and follow up on Lebanese investments with the Lebanese Franchise Association, with the participation of 12 member companies of the association, which are major Lebanese brands that have branches in a number of Arab and African countries.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Commercial Minister Plenipotentiary, Dr. Noha Shtayeh, Head of the Egyptian Commercial Office in Beirut, gave a detailed presentation on the general framework of the investment climate in Egypt, and the incentives offered. The promotional and logistical services provided by the ECS pay due attention to investment projects, whether in the stage of studying available opportunities, choosing partners, as well as following up on the various stages of the project in coordination with the relevant government agencies.

The companies participating in the event included Elite Insurance and Consulting Group, Zgheib Jewellers, FIG Holding Group, Malik and Doculand Stores, Al-Hallab Restaurant and Sweets, Al-Batal for furniture and decoration, Momaki Restaurants, Pellini Menswear, TMG Group for children's supplies and early learning centers, Atelier Botanique for cosmetics and personal care, and McDonald's Lebanon.

Minister Plenipotentiary for Trade, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Sharif, First Undersecretary of the Ministry and Head of ECS explained that the balance of Lebanese investments in Egypt has reached 854 million US dollars. Moreover, Lebanese investments are concentrated in the industrial, service, and construction sectors. The number of companies represented by Lebanese contributions in Egypt reached 2,815 companies as of February 2025. Al-Sharif also emphasized the role played by ECS in providing the necessary support to companies intending to invest in Egypt.
