Cairo: The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, Abdel Mageed Saqr, announced the opening of the International Defense Industries Exhibition for Peace 'IDEX 2025' on Monday, December 1, 2025. The event is being held under the patronage and in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

According to State Information Service Egypt, in his address, Abdel Mageed Saqr declared the commencement of IDEX 2025, emphasizing the significance of the exhibition for defense industries. The event is supported by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, various ministers, and senior state officials who participated in the opening ceremony.

IDEX 2025 marks its fourth edition and is scheduled from December 1 to 4, 2025. It showcases participation from major exhibitors and leading global companies specializing in armament, defense industries, and security sectors. The exhibition aims to highlight advancements and collaborations in defense technologies at both regional and international levels.
