Cairo:Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Ashraf Salem Zaher welcomed a delegation from the House of Representatives' National Security and Defense Committee at the Ministry of Defense's General Secretariat headquarters.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting saw the attendance of Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Ahmed Khalifa, Committee Chairman Mohamed Abbas Helmy, and several Armed Forces commanders. During the session, committee members congratulated the Armed Forces on the 53rd anniversary of the October Victory.

The delegation highlighted the significance of the historic October War, during which the Egyptian Army achieved a notable crossing and victory. They emphasized that this event continues to serve as a powerful lesson in patriotism, sacrifice, and resilience for future generations. Additionally, the committee praised the Armed Forces for their ongoing efforts to protect national assets and capabilities.

Commander-in-Chief Zaher expressed his gratitude for the House of Representatives' role in supporting Egypt's national security. He reiterated that the Armed Forces have consistently acted as the nation's protective shield and support, regardless of the circumstances. Zaher also confirmed the Armed Forces' continued readiness to defend the country's borders in all strategic directions.
