Damietta Port Receives and Dispatches 11 Vessels in 24 Hours

Damietta: The Damietta Port Authority announced that the port has efficiently managed the arrival and departure of 11 container and cargo vessels within the past 24 hours. This activity has increased the total number of vessels currently docked at the port to 26.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the authority released a statement on Sunday, August 30, 2026, detailing the movement of goods through the port. Exports of general cargo reached 18,694 tons, consisting of 2,409 tons of beet feed, 5,000 tons of bagged gypsum, and 11,285 tons of assorted goods.

On the import side, Damietta Port processed 23,254 tons of general cargo. This included 2,455 tons of beechwood, 18,099 tons of corn, 2,200 tons of scrap metal, and 500 tons of assorted goods. The steady flow of imports and exports underscores the port's role as a vital hub for maritime trade.
