Cabinet Reiterates Commitment to Clear Economic Policies

Cairo: The government reaffirmed its commitment to adopting long-term economic policies characterized by consistency and clarity, based on unified efforts among all stakeholders, to support private sector empowerment and strengthen macroeconomic stability.

According to State Information Service Egypt, this came during a meeting held on Thursday 4/12/2025 by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), to follow up on coordination and cooperation among ministries within the Economic Group on several priority economic issues. The meeting was attended by Rania Al Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation; Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance; Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade; Sherif El Kilani, Deputy Minister of Finance for Tax Policies; and officials from the relevant ministries, spokesperson at the cabinet Mohamed El Homsany said.

The meeting addressed ways to enhance joint working mechanisms among the ministries of the Economic Group. This aims to ensure higher levels of coordination and integration in managing the economic files that are at the forefront of the government's priorities during the current and upcoming phases, the spokesman added.

The meeting focused on the macroeconomic stability axis within the framework of the national narrative for economic development. It also discussed the updated version of the national narrative's chapter on economic stability and public finance, in light of recent economic developments and the state's focus on deepening structural reforms, he said.

He added that the meeting also reviewed the latest updates related to the 2025-2030 foreign direct investment strategy, which is being prepared in cooperation between the ministries of planning and investment.
