Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly chaired a cabinet meeting at the government headquarters in the New Capital to discuss a number of political, economic, social, and other issues on the government's agenda. The meeting aimed to review ways to implement presidential directives within appropriate timelines.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the cabinet discussed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's activities during the week, including his participation in the BRICS Summit. It also reviewed the prime minister's tours in Kafr el Sheikh Governorate, where he inspected service and development projects, as well as transport projects in Cairo and Giza.

The meeting addressed President El-Sisi's directives to intensify efforts to curb inflation and increase spending on the health, education, and social protection sectors. The cabinet also focused on regulating markets, ensuring the availability of food commodities, and continuing the implementation of national projects across Egypt's governorates.

Further discussions included expanding social protection measures, caring for vulnerable citizens, and efforts to develop the education and health sectors. The cabinet also emphasized promoting comprehensive development and investment, increasing exports, and localizing industries as part of Egypt's Vision 2030.

The meeting also followed up on measures concerning investment, industry, and exports, expanding agricultural land, and allocating industrial lands to investors. Additionally, discussions covered the social security system, tax affairs, development efforts across various state sectors, and supporting low-income citizens to ensure their needs are met.
