Bilateral Relations Between Egypt and EU Discussed in High-Level Call

Cairo:Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty received a phone call from Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the call focused on bilateral relations between Egypt and the European Union, discussing ways to develop and strengthen these ties. Both officials addressed various regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The conversation included discussions on the rapidly changing developments in the Red Sea region and the Horn of Africa, emphasizing efforts to de-escalate tensions and prevent their further spread. They reaffirmed the importance of respecting the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of states and called for intensified regional and international efforts to contain crises and restore security and stability.

Furthermore, they highlighted the significance of continued coordination with the European Union to support de-escalation efforts and achieve sustainable resolutions to regional crises. The talks also recognized Egypt's crucial role in promoting political and diplomatic solutions and maintaining ongoing coordination with the EU to achieve shared objectives.
