Bahrain and Egypt Leaders Discuss Regional Stability and Bilateral Cooperation

Cairo: The King of Bahrain and the Egyptian President engaged in discussions to enhance bilateral relations and address regional developments. King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain met with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt, who extended a warm welcome to the King, underscoring the depth of bilateral ties in various fields.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the King expressed his gratitude to President El-Sisi for the hospitality shown to him and his delegation and acknowledged the President's efforts in strengthening Bahraini-Egyptian relations. He extended his best wishes for Egypt's progress and prosperity.

The discussions focused on the strong fraternal ties and historical relations between Bahrain and Egypt. Both leaders emphasized their commitment to strategic cooperation and coordination to serve mutual interests. The King praised the deep-rooted ties between the two nations, highlighting the continuous attention and shared will to further develop these relations.

King Hamad also appreciated Egypt's support for Bahrain's measures to defend its sovereignty and stability, particularly condemning the aggression against Egypt in the port of Damietta. He reiterated Bahrain's solidarity with Egypt and its support for measures to preserve its sovereignty and security.

President El-Sisi thanked the King for Bahrain's supportive stances towards Egypt, reaffirming Egypt's condemnation of Iranian attacks on Bahrain and its support for Bahrain's security measures. Both leaders committed to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation for sustainable growth and prosperity.

The meeting also covered regional and international developments, with both sides exchanging views on unfolding events and efforts being made in the region. They emphasized the need for intensified efforts to promote peace, stability, and security in the region for the benefit of all.

The leaders agreed to maintain fraternal consultations and joint coordination on various regional issues, aiming to benefit both countries and their peoples.
