Cairo: The Armed Forces have concluded a high-level training program titled ‘Training of Trainers for United Nations Leadership in Support of Peace Restoration Efforts in Africa.’ The course was held in cooperation with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the participation of several regional partners and international organizations.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the program featured specialized lectures, interactive panel discussions, and practical training exercises using the latest training methodologies. The sessions offered participating officers from Egypt and various African countries a chance to share both academic and practical expertise, with the goal of strengthening the continent’s ability to maintain peace, security, and stability.
The course brought together representatives from the departments of defense and interior, along with foreign affairs officials responsible for peace and security files from several friendly and sisterly African nations. It also included Egyptian Armed Forces officers nominated for service in United Nations and African Union missions.
The training comes in line with directives from Egypt’s political leadership and the Armed Forces General Command to support peace and security efforts across Africa. It reflects Egypt’s commitment to assisting African nations in enhancing their national capacities and restoring stability.
The closing ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Egyptian Armed Forces, experts, and representatives from the liaison agency, assistant foreign ministers for African affairs, the Secretary-General of the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, foreign embassies, and accredited military attach©s in Egypt.
