Cairo: Upon directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the Armed Forces have announced that families of martyrs and individuals injured in the country's past wars are invited to contact the relevant authorities to receive one-time financial compensation.
According to State Information Service Egypt, this initiative honors the sacrifices of servicemen who participated in the 1948 War, the Yemen War, the 1956 Suez Crisis, the War of Attrition, and the 1973 October War. The Fund for Honoring Martyrs, Victims, Missing Persons, and the Injured of War and Security Operations will provide a one-time payment of 100,000 Egyptian pounds to eligible beneficiaries.
