Cairo:Al-Azhar Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed El-Tayeb extended his congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, along with Egypt's armed forces and citizens, on the anniversary of the 6th of October victory. This day marks the restoration of Egypt's dignity and the reclamation of its territory.

According to State Information Service Egypt, El-Tayeb described the October War as a historic military and national epic. He highlighted the bravery and determination of Egyptian soldiers, noting their contributions to history by demonstrating that steadfast resolve and faith can overcome occupation, restore rights, and ensure national security.

El-Tayeb commemorated the fallen soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the homeland. He emphasized the importance of maintaining national stability and protecting the country's resources by keeping the spirit of this victory alive. He concluded with a prayer for God to grant mercy to the martyrs and preserve Egypt's security, safety, and stability.
