Islamabad: Al Azhar on Friday, August 28, 2026, offered its sincere condolences to Pakistan, its leadership and people, and the families of infants who died in a tragic fire that broke out at a neonatal care unit in a hospital in the capital Islamabad, killing at least 14 infants.According to State Information Service Egypt, Al Azhar expressed its full solidarity with the bereaved families, praying for patience and solace for them and a speedy recovery for those injured, and for the safety and security of Pakistan and its people.
