Rafah: The 249th humanitarian aid convoy, known as 'Zad Al-Ezza... From Egypt to Gaza,' embarked on its journey to the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. The convoy passed through the Rafah Border Crossing and is headed towards the Karem Abu Salem crossing, where it will deliver much-needed relief supplies to Palestinians living in the enclave.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the convoy comprises trucks loaded with essential humanitarian and food supplies. These include food parcels, flour, fresh bread, legumes, canned foods, medicines, personal care items, tents, clothing, and fuel products. Prior to entering the Gaza Strip, the trucks undergo inspection by Israeli authorities to ensure compliance and security.
