Cairo: WE Technology Applied Schools have secured the top spot in the national Startup Teen entrepreneurship and technology innovation competition for the second consecutive year, cementing their status as a premier platform for youth innovation and entrepreneurship.

According to State Information Service Egypt, WE schools from eight governorates participated in the competition, with 79 students showcasing 19 innovative projects. From a pool of 102 teams nationwide, nine teams advanced to the semifinals, with two WE teams making it to the finals, representing one-third of the finalists.

In a remarkable achievement, the WE schools team from Alexandria clinched first place with 'Baseeta,' an app designed to offer integrated home maintenance and finishing services by directly linking customers with technicians and suppliers. The platform seeks to enhance price transparency and service reliability.

Tamer el Mahdi, Managing Director and CEO of Telecom Egypt (WE), highlighted that this accomplishment underscores the company's commitment to investing in young talent and equipping them with technical skills, while also promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. He emphasized that these skills enable students to transform ideas into practical solutions and promising ventures, contributing significantly to Egypt's digital economy and sustainable development.
