Gaza Strip: The UAE is spearheading efforts to relieve the Gaza Strip from a prolonged food and water crisis, bringing a wave of hope to its residents. The region, suffering from hunger and thirst for over a year and a half, has received substantial aid from the UAE through land, air, and sea. These efforts include initiatives like setting up automatic bakeries, field kitchens, and projects for providing fresh drinking water.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the situation in Gaza has recently deteriorated sharply. Reports from Palestinian medical sources indicate that 147 people, including 88 children, have died from malnutrition. Data from the World Food Programme and UNICEF reveal that 39% of the population goes days without food, with over 500 individuals facing famine-like conditions.

Despite the grim conditions, the UAE's support, highlighted by "Operation Gallant Knight 3," has been pivotal. UN reports state that Emirati aid constitutes 44% of the total international aid to Gaza. During Ramadan, the Emirates Red Crescent distributed 13 million iftar meals and supported 44 charities, reaching more than two million people and providing for 3 million through 17 bakeries.

The UAE has also tackled the water crisis, establishing six desalination plants producing two million gallons daily. This initiative, launched shortly after Operation Gallant Knight 3, benefits over 6 people in Gaza. Additionally, the "Gallant Knight 15" operation commenced a project to supply desalinated water from Egypt to southern Gaza, featuring a new 6.7 km pipeline.

The pipeline project, connecting a UAE-built desalination plant in Egypt to Gaza's southern areas, aims to serve 600 affected residents, supplying 15 liters of water per person daily. The UAE has further launched projects for drilling and maintaining drinking water wells and sewage networks, alongside deploying fresh water tankers.
