Cairo: Member of the Egyptian Tourism Federation (ETF) Hossam Hazaa announced a significant rise in tourism rates in Egypt during the Eid Al Adha holiday, particularly in the Red Sea region, despite ongoing geopolitical challenges in the area.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Hazaa highlighted in a phone interview with Egyptian satellite channel 1 that a large influx of tourists has been recorded in Hurghada. The visitors mainly hail from European countries, with Germany, Italy, and France leading the way. Hazaa commended the Ministry of Tourism for their efforts in promoting Egyptian tourism at international exhibitions.

He further noted that some hotels have achieved full occupancy rates in recent days, a testament to the region’s growing appeal. Hazaa emphasized Egypt’s status as a safe tourist destination, with Marsa Alam experiencing high demand for hotel accommodations, coinciding with the summer holiday season.
