Cairo: Minister of Transport Kamel El-Wazir stated that the comprehensive development boom and unprecedented progress witnessed across Egypt's various sectors are the result of a strategic national vision led by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
According to State Information Service Egypt, President El Sisi has successfully rebuilt state institutions, bolstering their ability to confront various challenges while launching major national projects that have reshaped Egypt's development map. These efforts have reinforced Egypt's position as a strong state with a clear vision for the future.
El-Wazir made these remarks during a major ceremony organized by the National Press Authority to launch the book "Man of Destiny. The Biography of a Leader. The Journey of a Nation." This event was held in conjunction with the 13th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution and was attended by a host of government officials, including ministers from various sectors, Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber, and National Press Authority Chairman Abdel Sadeq El-Shorbagy, alongside numerous editors-in-chief and media figures.
In his speech, the transport minister emphasized the national significance of the book's release, as it documents a pivotal milestone in Egypt's modern history. It chronicles the journey of a leader who guided the nation through a critical period, laying the foundations of a New Republic focused on construction, development, diligence, and future planning.
El-Wazir highlighted the importance of documenting major national experiences through research and archival work, considering it a national responsibility. This effort preserves the collective memory and conveys the realities of Egypt's challenges, efforts, and achievements to future generations, thereby strengthening national awareness and a sense of belonging.
The transport minister noted that the transport sector has received strong support from the political leadership, reflecting President Sisi's belief in the importance of developing a modern transport system. Such a system is seen as a key driver of comprehensive development and a cornerstone of state-building.
He explained that this vision has been realized through the largest development plan in Egypt's transport sector history, encompassing roads and bridges, railways, metro systems, electric transport, seaports, dry ports, and logistics zones, thus establishing an integrated, safe, and sustainable network across the country.
El-Wazir concluded that the June 30 Revolution remains a defining milestone in Egypt's history, marking a turning point that paved the way for a new phase of construction and development through major national projects across all sectors. Under President Sisi, Egypt continues on its development path with confidence, guided by an ambitious national vision aimed at achieving sustainable development, improving citizens' quality of life, and enhancing Egypt's regional and international standing.
