Matrouh: Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el-Wazir conducted an inspection tour to assess progress on the first phase of the Sokhna-El Alamein-Matrouh high-speed rail network.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the inspection aimed to evaluate the current status and ensure the timely execution of the project. The high-speed rail network, once completed, will significantly enhance connectivity between major cities, promoting economic development and facilitating easier travel for residents and visitors.

The Sokhna-El Alamein-Matrouh high-speed rail project is a key component of the country's strategic transportation infrastructure plan. The first phase, currently under development, is expected to improve transportation efficiency and reduce travel time across the region.
