Cairo: Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy and German Ambassador to Egypt Jrgen Scholz engaged in discussions to explore avenues for enhancing cooperation in the tourism sector. The meeting, held on Friday, focused on strategies to increase German tourism to Egypt.According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions included a review of past statistics regarding inbound German tourism to Egypt's destinations and explored prospective cooperation to increase German tourist numbers in the future. Both parties deliberated on strategies to promote Egyptian tourist destinations within the German market.The talks also highlighted the importance of organizing familiarization trips for key figures in the German tourism industry, including heads of tourism companies, media representatives, bloggers, and influencers. These initiatives aim to provide firsthand experiences of Egypt's tourist attractions, products, and diverse tourism styles.The meeting was attended by Egyptian Tourism Authority CEO Amr el Kady, officials from the Tourism Ministry, and Head of Cultural and Education at the German Embassy in Cairo, Felix Haala.
