Titan Egypt and Solariz Egypt Expand Beni Suef Plant’s Solar Capacity by 10 MW

Beni Suef:Titan Egypt Group and Solariz Egypt have entered into an agreement to enhance the solar capacity of Titan's Beni Suef cement plant by 10 megawatts (MW), increasing the plant's planned total solar capacity to 21.45 MW.

According to State Information Service Egypt, this expansion follows a power purchase agreement signed in June 2026. The project, once operational, is projected to generate 43.2 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity annually. This is expected to meet a portion of the cement plant's power needs and contribute to a reduction in carbon emissions related to electricity consumption.

Amr Reda, CEO of Titan Egypt, stated that the expansion supports the group's objectives to boost industrial efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint. Renewable energy investments are key to enhancing the company's competitiveness. He emphasized that the project reflects Titan's climate commitments and supports the competitiveness of the Egyptian industry through cutting-edge technologies and strategic partnerships.

Mohamed El-Fouli, Chief Commercial Officer of Solariz Egypt, remarked that the partnership underscores the potential of solar energy in meeting industrial power demands and enhancing operational efficiency. Solariz plans to use its expertise in solar development to further serve energy-intensive industries and promote clean energy adoption in Egypt.

Titan Egypt is also committed to expanding its renewable energy usage and alternative fuels, improving operational efficiency, and developing low-carbon cement products. This expansion highlights the importance of private-sector investment in promoting sustainable manufacturing and strengthening the competitiveness of Egyptian industry on both regional and international levels.
