Cairo: City Edge Development (CED) Sportival kicked off Saturday 23/8/2025 in New Alamein City, under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The event is organized by Presentation Live Media Production company, in cooperation with the Sports Ministry, and hosted by City Edge Developments on the city's beaches, with wide participation from various nationalities.According to State Information Service Egypt, the festival features international beach volleyball competitions in collaboration with "The Clash", with over 160 male and female players from multiple countries. It also includes one of the largest and longest sports car tours ever held in Egypt, with more than 100 cars, organized in cooperation with the Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt. The tour started in Cairo and concluded in New Alamein.The event is part of the Ministry of Youth and Sports' strategy to promote sports tourism and host leading local and international events. The sports car events were attended by TRT, Stance Festival , AST, October Tuners, EGY Swat, Wolves Drift, and Egy Rider.The festival program also includes recreational sports activities, such as archery shows, as well as fitness entertainment activities. The opening day was attended by several notable figures, including Ahmed Ibrahim, Head of the New Alamein City Authority, and Raouf Ghaffar, Board Member of the Automobile Club.The two-day CED Sportival Festival will feature around 130 beach volleyball matches in addition to various sports and entertainment events.
