Cairo: Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi on Friday 15/8/2025 kicked off the second edition of the Alamein International Marathon, which is part of his ministry's "30-Day Challenge" project. Over a thousand runners of different age groups and nationalities joined a 5-kilometer race in the streets of New Alamein City in Egypt's North Coast.According to State Information Service Egypt, the marathon is organized by Presentation Live in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, in line with the state's efforts to promote a culture of sports as a way of life.The event, sponsored by City Edge, SAIB Bank, and Sadara Investment, has also featured sports and entertainment activities supervised by Fitness Factory, in cooperation with Adidas, and under full medical supervision of the Saudi German Hospital, to ensure participants' safety.
