Cairo: Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi congratulated the Egyptian Fencing Federation (EFF) after Egyptian fencer Ahmed Hesham won a bronze medal at the World Fencing Championship held in Georgia from July 22 to 30. The Minister applauded the performance of Hesham, who secured Egypt's first medal in this edition of the tournament.According to State Information Service Egypt, this achievement reflects the federation's hard work and extensive preparations, highlighting the progress of Egyptian fencing on the international stage. Hesham's success has been a significant milestone for the federation and the country.Meanwhile, Hesham's teammate Ziad El Sisi finished fifth after a strong performance, while their compatriots Mohamed Amer and Adham Moataz placed 11th and 21st, respectively. The Egyptian team showed commendable efforts at the championship, indicating a promising future for the sport in Egypt.
