Cairo: Egypt's Ministry of Social Solidarity launched the Amal Gadid (New Hope) initiative to economically empower women in the village of Sabk El Ahad in the Monufia governorate.According to State Information Service Egypt, the programme is a collaboration between the ministry, the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, and the Chinese Embassy in Cairo. The initiative aims to promote development, support families' economic independence, create safe environments for children, and advance community growth.This marks the first activation of a cooperation protocol for family and community development centres, which will offer training and specialised skills for women in Monufia. The initiative will support vulnerable families through small poultry farming projects in Sabk El Ahad and Saqiet Abu Shaara villages in Ashmoun district. Beneficiaries have completed six days of training conducted by a Chinese company and will receive feed supplies and veterinary care.
