Cairo: Social Solidarity Minister Maya Morsy announced the winners of the 2026 Ideal Mother competition nationwide. Zeinab Suleiman of North Sinai ranked first, followed by Hanem Abdel Sayed of Kafr El-Sheikh in second place, and Essmat Abdel Halim of Menoufia in third. The minister also announced ideal mothers across governorates, alongside winners in special categories, including mothers of children with disabilities and foster mothers.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister extended her congratulations to the winners of the 2026 Ideal Mother competition, as well as to all Egyptian mothers, affirming that every woman has an inspiring story worthy of recognition. She stressed the ministry's commitment to honoring ideal mothers across the country in a manner befitting their role.

The minister said nearly 598 women nationwide applied for the 2026 competition, of whom 499 met the eligibility criteria. This included 416 biological mothers, 25 applicants in the alternative mother category, and 58 mothers of children with disabilities, while 99 applicants were excluded for not meeting the requirements.
