Sisi Reaffirms Egypt’s Support for Saudi Arabia, Warns on Arab Sovereignty Threats

Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman following the Iranian attack on Saudi territory. Presidential spokesperson Mohamed Shennawy stated that President Sisi emphasized Egypt's strong support for Saudi Arabia, stressing that the security of the Kingdom is a key part of Arab national security. He also warned that any violation of Arab sovereignty poses a direct threat to regional stability and worsens tensions in the area.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the President reiterated the necessity of intensifying international and regional efforts to de-escalate tensions, highlighting that political and diplomatic solutions are the best way to resolve crises. He emphasized that continued military escalation would only lead to more suffering for the people in the region and undermine development opportunities.

For his part, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed his appreciation for Egypt's supportive stance and praised the deep historic ties and brotherly relations between the two countries.
