Amman: Chairman of the Board of the State Information Service (SIS) Ambassador Alaa Youssef received Ambassador of India to Egypt Suresh K. Reddy at the SIS headquarters on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation in media and communication amid the continued growth of Egyptian-Indian relations.
According to State Information Service Egypt, during the meeting, Ambassador Alaa Youssef reaffirmed the deep-rooted Egyptian-Indian relations, built on a long history of friendship and cooperation, and highlighted the continued development of bilateral relations under the shared commitment of the two countries' leaderships to further strengthening their strategic partnership across various fields.
The SIS Chairman also emphasized the importance of expanding media cooperation between Egypt and India through the exchange of expertise in communication, digital media, and countering misinformation and disinformation. He noted that joint efforts contribute to enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries while highlighting the rich cultural, historic, and development achievements of two ancient civilizations.
For his part, Ambassador Suresh K. Reddy expressed his appreciation for the strength of Egyptian-Indian relations, commending the close understanding and coordination between the leaderships of the two countries, which has elevated bilateral cooperation to a new level. He reaffirmed India's commitment to supporting Egypt's development efforts and further expanding cooperation across a broad range of fields, particularly in view of Egypt's significant regional and international standing.
